We're always working hard to improve the Trax platform, below are some recent updates and improvements we've just released!
Trax Codes
- In-document section filtering— filter a code down to just the sections you care about while reading, with an optional header summary.
- Search across all of Trax— one search spanning codes, projects, reviews, attachments, and help content.
- Reuse recent searchesand try our improved advanced search filters.
Trax Pro
- Table and Map views for projects— switch between List, Table, and Map. The table has a column chooser with saved widths; the map plots projects by jurisdiction with pie-chart clustering by status.
- Custom metadata filtering— filter and sort projects by metadata fields and collaborators via a new filter bar.
- Deep Search— a deeper search pass across project content when quick results aren't enough.
- Project search with facets and filter chips.
- Attachment version history— view and open previous versions of an attachment.
Trax Review
- Live presence— see which of your teammates is concurrently working in the review editor with you.
- PDF markup improvements— a dedicated text markup editor, auto-filled fields in stamps and callouts, and improved measurement tooling.
- Your place is saved— the active PDF and page are kept in the URL, so refreshing or sharing a link lands exactly where you were.
- Table and Map views for reviews, plus review search.
- Resizable editor pane— drag to resize the letter editor vertically.
Enterprise
- Define Custom Fields— org and group admins can define custom fields for projects and reviews; all members can view and filter by them.
- ArcGIS / GIS integration— connect ArcGIS feature layers for jurisdiction and parcel lookup, configured per group.
- Organization analytics toggle— org admins can turn analytics collection on or off for the whole organization, with a full audit trail.
- Organization & group resources panel— a shared view of all org/group resources with admin-scoped filters, facets, and map.
- Analytics improvements— configurable date ranges, grouping by person / group / document, and CSV export.
We've added the July 17, 2026 version of the Ontario Building Code. Including recent amendments to support the development of four-storey townhouses and expand the use of cellular core polyvinyl chloride (PVC) drain-waste-vent (DWV) pipe.
Two more Ontario Acts have been added to Trax Codes now:

- Drainage Act - June 30, 2021
New versions of four Ontario Acts have been added to Trax Codes:
- Municipal Act — May 7, 2026
- Conservation Authorities Act — April 24, 2026
- City of Toronto Act, 2006 — April 24, 2026
- Child Care and Early Years Act — May 7, 2026
The 2024 British Columbia Fire Code has been added to Trax Codes.

Manitoba Codes and Accessibility Act now available
We’re excited to announce the release of the Manitoba editions of the National Building Code, National Fire Code, National Plumbing Code, and National Energy Code of Canada on Trax Codes, as well as the Accessibility for Manitobans Act, on Trax Codes.
