In-Document Search Sorting
We're excited to introduce an improvement to the in-document search functionality in Trax Codes. You can now sort search results using two different modes:
  • Match
: Displays search results based on how closely they match your query, bringing the most pertinent items to the top.
  • Index
: Presents search results in the same sequence they appear within the document, allowing for a contextual flow of information.
How to Use:
  1. Enter your search query in the in-document search bar.
  2. Choose your preferred sorting option by selecting either "Match" or "Index" from the sorting menu.
  3. View the search results displayed according to your selected sorting preference.
This new feature gives you greater control over how you navigate and retrieve information within documents, enhancing your overall user experience.

Copy Plain Text
We also added the ability to copy articles as plain text. Previously, copying would include full HTML styles and links. Now, you can copy articles with just the plain text, and any links are retained as simple text, without formatting.

Enhanced Copy and Paste with Unit Conversions
Additionally, we improved the copy and paste functionality to include unit conversions when they are displayed inline. Now, any units converted inline will also be carried over when copying content.
We're excited to announce the release of OBC 2024 Volume 2!
Please note that Appendix A: Explanatory Information is not included in Volume 2. Instead, we have consolidated all explanatory notes within OBC 2024 Volume 1 in Trax Codes.

We're pleased to announce that Explanatory Notes have been added to our preview of OBC 2024. Instead of publishing them as a separate document, we've integrated them directly into Volume 1 to align more closely with National Building Codes and reduce the need to switch between multiple documents. However, if you prefer the Notes to be in a separate document, please let us know.

With the introduction of OBC 2024, we've prioritized extending our historical comparison tool to support document comparisons. We're excited to release a beta version of our new Jurisdictional Comparison Tool. Currently, you can compare OBC 2024 with OBC 2012 and NBC 2020, with more comparison options to be added in the future. To use the new tool, simply select the "Document Compare" button, previously used for historical comparisons. You'll now see additional documents available for comparison, including those from different jurisdictions. A similarity bar shows the level of similarity to the source section, and textual changes are highlighted within the sections.
